Sarah Clark Kavanagh is a consultant with Library Associates Companies and is LAC's former Vice President of Strategic Consulting. She is based in San Francisco, CA, and is focused on developing new products, services and business approaches to meet the ever-changing needs of information users and the enterprises they work in.

Her first job was in a library 27 years ago and ever since then she's worked in, utilized and supported Libraries and Information Resources. After leaving the practice of law, Sarah worked in the global legal industry for over a decade focusing on:

  • Internal and external client needs assessment;
  • Creating solutions to better utilize existing firm resources and structures;
  • Optimizing the highest value and cost recovery of the Library spend;
  • Facilitating benchmarking studies that provide insight regarding industry trends, cost-saving alternatives and best practices; and,
  • Leading the design of cutting-edge desktop solutions for internal clients.

Sarah received her BS from Iowa State University and her JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. She is a member of the California and Iowa Bar Associations.
